CPA Ninja Marketing – Bum Marketing Tactics

Everyone has heard about how much money there is to be made in the CPA arena – claims of $100k per day net by some of the super-affiliates and even more average level affiliates making $500+ a day – big money to be sure. But what most don’t tell you is that to make $500 a day they spent a lot more than that to get a $500 return in one day. Now I’d spend money on PPC all day long for a solid return, but still, how many people are going to be able to spend hundreds and even thousands a day or more in PPC starting out? Enter Bum Marketing tactics for CPA. Bum Marketing involves tactics and strategies for free or nearly free marketing approaches to get started building up your reserves so that you can jump in the pond with the big fish. Bum Marketing is typically associated with Article Marketing and Forum posting, etc… In the context of CPA (cost per action), Bum Marketing we will not be discussing any forum related stuff, but instead focus on Article Marketing strategies than can work well with CPA.

There are two primary techniques and approaches for article marketing. The first approach involves using the articles for SEO purposes in conjunction with keyword laden anchor text to create large numbers of backlinks for a website where you host your offer. You use the articles and anchor text to get lots of backlinks that get your targeted keyword phrase ranked within the SERPs (search engine results pages). The second approach is to actually use the article itself to get traffic for the offer and to submit to a few high quality high PR websites.

In the first approach where you are building links for your site, you will want to have hundreds of articles published across thousands of websites. At first this may seem like a daunting chore, but if you do it correctly it is not that difficult at all. You can do this manually, but I recommend you don’t. It will simply take far too long and not be cost effective.

To understand how to accomplish this task most effectively, you need to understand a concept called content spinning. Content spinning is a way of generating multiple unique versions of a single article. This is highly effective for SEO because Google and other search engines prefer to see unique content – not a bunch of tired old PLR articles. In simple terms it might look something like this.
{sentence 1 version 1~sentence 1 version 2~sentence 1 version 3}

In this example there are three different versions of the same sentence that the software will randomly use to choose just one when generating the article. If you provide two versions of every sentence in your article, then the software can generate hundreds of unique versions of your article that will all read naturally and be well written. Both recommended programs below use this type of article spinning which is the only way I recommend doing it. I have tried many article spinners, and these are the only two that I personally recommend because they create quality results. Many of the spinners out there do automatic phrase substitution and synonym lookup tables and such – resulting in a lot of garbage text that reads just as if it was generated by a computer – hardly desirable.

Instead of manually writing hundreds of articles, you should look to use a service such as MyArticleNetwork to facilitate this approach. With MyArticleNetwork, you upload your article, create a spun version of it, and then choose the category to submit it to and click submit – that’s it! It will then be sent off to thousands of websites for publication (they have over 10,000 in their network). Another alternative to MyArticleNetwork is Unique Article Wizard. The Unique Article Wizard works off of the same principle but has a slightly different approach to content spinning. Instead of doing spinning at the sentence level, it does it at the paragraph level. Both approaches are very effective it just comes down to a personal preference. The main difference between the two programs is that MyArticleNetwork allows you to put three links anywhere into the text of the post and the Unique Article Wizard allows two links only in the resource box at the bottom of the article. The result is that your spun article will get pushed out to thousands of websites (that doesn’t mean they will all publish it) and generate tons of backlinks for your targeted anchor text. While both of these services have a monthly maintenance cost, they are indispensable in terms of the value they provide for a minimum cost.

The second approach to article marketing would involve manually submitting your article to a series of high profile and high PR (PageRank) websites, such as ezinearticles.com, gotoarticles.com and ehow.com. The benefit of this approach is that these are very high traffic sites that get a lot of attention and you will likely see quite a bit of traffic from them. They also can give your site some much needed PageRank boost.

Bum Marketing can be effective to get your CPA business launched and to begin to generate some reserves while you experiment with PPC based campaigns. Who knows, you may find that you make enough with the Bum approach to meet your objectives.
